Buddhist Ceremonies
Located at Buddhist Temple, students are able to take part in various Buddhist ceremonies, which are precious opportunities to experience Buddhist and Chinese culture.
Meditation in Meditation Hall
There is a grand Meditation Hall in our temple where you are able to do meditation and cultivate yourself. The Meditation Hall is the most sacred place in a Buddhist Temple. Full of the special atmosphere, you will have an amazing experience doing meditation here.
Culture Courses (optional courses)
We offer optional courses such as Chinese Medical Acupuncture and Massage, Chinese Tea Ceremony, Chinese Mandarin class, and Buddhism Theory. They are for students to understand Chinese culture, and also enrich their life at the academy.
Chinese Calligraphy classes are offered at our academy. In this class, you will find the beauty of artistic Chinese language. It is also a way of self-cultivation, to achieve inner peace and tranquility.
Becoming a disciple (Baishi)
At our academy, outstanding students have the chance to become disciple of their master formally. We will have a ceremony for it, which is called Baishi in Chinese. From the ceremony, students will experience the real Chinese kungfu tradition and will get a disciple certificate.
Accommodation
Food
We attach great importance to food quality at our academy and see it as a major factor to good training. We offer healthy vegetarian food to students. We carry on rational diet principle and the food is cooked under fitness regimen to let you experience the most healthy lifestyle of monks. We also offer Chinese dumplings, noodles, or special local food at least once a week.
There is Buddhist cuisine ceremony in the dinning hall every week that you can attend with monks following their eating habits and etiquette. If you have specific requirements such as intolerance and specific allergies, please let us know.
The academy organizes parties in the tea room for students to relax themselves, with snacks and drinks, and it's free of charge. You are able to drink various Chinese tea of top grade in the tea room.
Student rooms
There are double room (two-person room) and private single room for students' choice at our academy. All rooms have private toilet with hot shower, power sockets and Internet. We have a laundry room for students' convenience.
Weekends and free time
Weekends are free time for students to rest and relax. Students may choose to visit the places nearby or have a short trip to some places of interest.
Location
Xinglin Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu Academy is starting training at Er Zu Temple in August, 2018. Located in Sikong Mountain, the First Mountain of Chan Zong(Chinese Zen), Er Zu Temple has a history of over 1500 years and covers an area of 90,000 square meters, which offers a unique environment allowing students to enjoy the special atmosphere and absorb the essence of Chi(Qi) and Kung Fu.
The temple is well equipped for training and cultivation, including training hall, fitness equipment, meditation hall, tea room, multimedia classroom, and library. We are able to use all the facilities and there is no prohibition for us to use the outdoor space in the temple to do training.
